We currently have a vacancy for a part-time Human Resources Assistant, working 28 hours per week. This is a 12 month fixed term appointment to cover maternity leave.

This is a generalist role and the successful candidate will provide support and guidance to Department Heads in relation to all aspects of personnel management, absence management, staff development and training and recruitment. The successful candidate will also be required to answer any HR related queries from all employees.

Interested candidates must have previous experience of working within a busy Human Resources department, ideally in a generalist capacity, with experience in supporting managers in disciplinary and grievance procedures, coordinating and managing the recruitment process and supporting in managing staff absence.  Excellent communication and organisational skills and an extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications are essential.  Applicants should ideally be qualified to a minimum of Certificate in Personnel Practice.

This post is subject to a PVG Scheme membership and salary will be dependant on experience and qualifications.
